We would like to highlight your project within the Visual Story Network community in an upcoming communiqué (2800 media innovators in 95 countries). The way we do this is by asking you or someone from your team to send a post we can create on the VSN site.
We will then highlight your post in an upcoming e-communiqué. We highlight 4-5 projects once a month. Most posts that appear in our e-communiqué will get 100-200 page visits within a week of being featured. We recommend a donation for making this available within the community to help offset our costs. We suggest $.75 per page view after the post has been up for 30 days. 100 page views =$75.
Here are the steps.
1. Create an HTML post with a clear description of the project we can add to the VSN website. Include appropriate info about how the reader can learn more. Keep in mind the most successful posts are the ones that instruct, inspire and inform as opposed to outright promotion or requests for funding (we do not promote fund development since everyone in the community is doing fund development). The most viewed posts are the ones that have easy-to-read lessons you've learned along the way (see this example).
Send your HTML in an .rtf file to audrey@visualstory.org. Include your image(s) in the email as well. If you are unable to create your own HTML, send us a Word doc with the preferred layout of your post including links and images. Send $75 via PayPal (use clyde@visualstory.org) to cover the costs of creating the HTML post for you.
2. Format. Your post will get a better response if you take time to format it so it is easy to read. Here are our formatting suggestions…
- Include 1-2 photos within the post.
- Put spaces between paragraphs.
- Highlight key ideas in bold.
