Brief case study of how a catalyst leader helped multiple fields and teams in his organization implement media to DMM initiatives" (Rich)

    • Matt G: resourcing teams to create own content through film schools. Not just putting out content, but create a space for people to engage.
    • Brian J: 8 year journey as advocate internally by telling success stories. These work the best. Now people are clamoring to investigate.
    • JS: When other teams hear, they implement. Now close to a dozen teams. Dissatisfaction is the best place to get started.

Discussion around obstacles and opportunities for catalysts in organizations to initiate change. Brainstorm possible synergies by those present on the call.

    • Tim C: 1 week crash course for those on furlough. Potentially in Portland OR? CT: be sure to check out Kingdom Training intensive first.
    • JS: several times a year, offer a three day intensive. Online course is prerequisite. Doing post - EMDC training.
    • Jon is doing pre-EMDC social media training.
    • Matt G: We are using the MMM training. Would love to learn what is working for others using materials.
    • Tim: Just used the MMF curriculum in Thailand for a Frontiers team leaders conference. As trainers we were able to take what we need and rebrand, etc. to modify as needed. We taught “Media to DMM” more as a strategy course and “Sharing Jesus Visually” focusing more on photo/video and memes with a final project being a student-filmed promo piece for a Mexican sending base.
    • Keegan: Possibly some way to reach out to existing media practitioners if teams are short.
    • AJ - more case studies and helps to pass from expat teams to local teams
    • KL: we combined the KT intensive content along with the 10 Steps course.
    • Ron W: IISA wanting to do some regional gatherings. Excited to have JS at upcoming gathering.
    • Identify and Promote best practices / best product resources
    • BJ: One interest we are seeing in Frontiers is a desire for more peer mentoring. Wondering about putting together a group or groups to meet maybe monthly for an online (Zoom) peer mentoring time. This is something we could expand if desired as long as everyone shared the same need for security.
      • Tom: We can make available the list of expertise of the current training orgs.
      • Clyde: For now, they are here

  1. I’m very encouraged to read through this account of multiple orgs collaborating through sharing resources, experiences, what they think would connect well with learners, prospects for peer-mentoring, lists of expertise of various orgs/people, and more. Well done!

  2. Really appreaciate your ministry VSN. I thought about registering for the meeting but then I realised that I had another meeting at the same time. So I even more appreciate the summary with all the links and info. I attended a workshop 2018 together with prem and am passionate about MobMin. Also passionate about DMM. My inspiration from the summary “advocate internally”. This is in Chad and SIL, but really also beyond SIL. Blessings
