Media to Movements “Top of Funnel” Executive Summary: 6/20/23

Overview

On June 20, 2023 the Media to Movements Training Coalition hosted the “Top of Funnel” gathering to bring together those focused on marketing strategies. Frank has shared on the results of the 2023 Global Media to Movements Survey.

Global Survey Results (Frank)

  • We are very keen to look at trajectory and health in team implementation of MTM strategy.
  • Trajectory
    • In 2020 we have 73 known teams that are implementing MTM and the number rose to 260 in 2023. We are more than doubling every year.
    • Media is probably the best tool to identify people who are open to religious change.
    • MTM teams are rapidly becoming non-Expatriate, non-Western and non-English speaking. In the current year, the fastest growth is with non-English speakers.
    • In 2023 there is a significant jump to impact and outcomes to ministry. There are not only increase in online engagements but 400% increase in face-to-face engagements and profession of faith. There are also 100% increase in baptisms and fellowships.
  •  Health
    • Team Implementation
      • In 2021 only 10% of the teams are fully implemented. In 2023 it rose to 22-24%
      • More and more teams are moving towards implementing and fully implementing in their team structures.
    • Health – POPs
      • Number of identified Persons of Peace per year.
      • 19% are not seeing POPs yet. 44% of teams that are seeing 1-9 POP’s per year are usually those teams who have been implementing for 2years.
      • 4% of teams are seeing 50-500 POP’s per year.
      • There are four definitions of POPs that have emerged during the survey.
    • Health – Accountability
      • One of the indicators when it comes to the health of an organization is how much funds are being spent. 60% of teams in their early stages usually have about $15000 per year.
      • Oversight of strategy and funds is also a healthy indicator.
    • Health – Prayer
      • People are maintaining healthy prayer growth strategies throughout all three years.

    • Multilingual/ethnic materials and coaching
    • Think tank to address funding and structure
    • Post Launch and Movements Coaching
    • Expand Global Movement Metrics
